The Embassy of Lebanon has specific requirements based on the document being legalized.

Legalization of School, College, and University Certificates: 
  • You must authenticate these documents by the School Board or Institution. 
  • The documents then must be authenticated by Global Affairs Canada
  • You must include a self-addressed and stamped Xpresspost envelope so the Embassy of Lebanon can send your documents back to you (only if being legalized by mail). 
  • Remember to attach your phone number and a cover letter explaining what you want the Embassy of Lebanon to do with the documents. 
  • The fee per document is $15 (CAD) which can be paid in cash if you are legalizing your documents in person or by money order made out to the Embassy of Lebanon if you are submitting your documents by mail. 
  • Include a photocopy of each document you wish legalized. The Embassy of Lebanon will keep this photocopy on file. 
  • Include a copy of your Lebanese identification.
  • Fill out, print off, and sign the Embassy File Form which you can find here

Legalization of medical bills or reports: 

  • You must have your documents notarized by a duly appointed notary public. All notaries associated with notary-toronto.ca have been duly appointed by the Ministry of the Attorney General for Ontario. 
  • The document must then be authenticated by the Official Document Services in Toronto or Global Affairs Canada in Ottawa.
  • Include a self-addressed and stamped Xpresspost envelope so the Embassy of Lebanon can send your documents back to you (only if being legalized by mail).
  • Remember to attach your phone number as well, in case the Embassy of Lebanon has any questions. 
  • The fee per document is $15 (CAD) which can be paid in cash if you are legalizing your documents in person or by money order made out to the Embassy of Lebanon if you are submitting your documents by mail. 
  • Remember to include a photocopy of each document you wish legalized. The Embassy of Lebanon will keep this photocopy on file. 
  • Include a copy of your Lebanese identification.

Legalization of Commercial documents: 

You must have your documents notarized by a duly appointed notary public. All notaries associated with notary-toronto.ca have been duly appointed by the Ministry of the Attorney General for Ontario. 
The invoices must then be authenticated by the local Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade.

If you are exporting goods to Lebanon, the goods must be accompanied by a Certificate of Origin. The Embassy of Lebanon charges the following fees on commercial documents:
  • For Commercial invoices, the fee is calculated as $4 CAD per $1000 CAD, rounded to the nearest $1000 CAD (minimum $15 CAD, maximum $1250 CAD).
  • $10 CAD to legalize a Certificate of Origin, with one attached invoice.
  • $20 CAD to legalize a Certificate of Origin, with two or more attached invoices
In person, you can pay this amount in cash. If you are submitting these documents by mail, you must include a money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon. Also remember to include a self-addressed stamped, Xpresspost envelope with your phone number so the Embassy of Lebanon can return your documents to you (only relevant if you submitted the documents by mail in the first place).

Remember, you must also bring/mail an additional photocopy of all of the above mentioned documents, a copy of your Lebanese ID, and the completed Embassy File Form which you can find here

Legalization of Pharmaceutical document, Attestation etc…
  1. You must first have the documents notarized by a Notary Public.
  2. Authenticated by the Official Document Services of the Ontario Government. Please see here for a description of that process.
  3. If you are handing your documents in person, the cost is $30 CAD per document and can be paid in cash or by a money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon. If you are mailing your documents, you must pay by by money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon.
  4. If you are mailing your documents, remember to include a self-addressed stamped, Xpresspost, envelope with your phone number. It is also strongly advisable to include a letter describing what it is that you wish the embassy to do. 
  5. You must include/bring an additional photocopy of all of your documents.
  6. You must bring a Copy of your Lebanese I.D.
  7. Completed and enclosed Embassy file form, which you can find here
Legalization of registering a Company/a Patent in Lebanon
  1. You must first have the documents notarized by a Notary Public.
  2. Authenticated by the Official Document Services of the Ontario Government. Please see here for a description of that process.
  3. If you are handing your documents in person, the cost is $70 CAD per document and can be paid in cash or by a money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon. If you are mailing your documents, you must pay by by money order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon.
  4. If you are mailing your documents, remember to include a self-addressed stamped, Xpresspost, envelope with your phone number. It is also strongly advisable to include a letter describing what it is that you wish the embassy to do.
