Legalization Services for documents to be used in Palestine are provided by the Embassy of Lebanon. The Embassy of Lebanon is located at 640 Lyon Street, Ottawa, ON K1S 3Z5. You can contact them by phone at 613-236-5825 or by email at info@LebanonEmbassy.ca. You can read about the Embassy of Lebanon's process for legalization of documents here.

If your documents require it, the first step will be to have the documents notarized before a valid Canadian notary public. All notaries associated with notary-toronto.ca have been appointed directly by the Ministry of the Attorney General.

The second step is to have your documents authenticated by Global Affairs Canada. The cost for authentication is free and you can read about the authentication process here.

Once your documents have been properly authenticated, you can submit them either in person or by mail to the Embassy of Lebanon. If you are submitting the documents in person, the fee per document is $15 (CAD) and may be paid in cash. If you are submitting your documents by mail, the fee is still $15 (CAD) per document, but must be in the form of a Money Order payable to the Embassy of Lebanon. If you send your documents by mail, you must include a return Xpresspost envelope (pre-stamped and addressed) so the Embassy can return your documents to you.

Remember, you must also include the following in your legalization request:
  • One additional photocopy of all of the above mentioned documents is required.
  • Copy of Lebanese I.D. (or your own I.D. if you are wishing to legalize commercial documents).
  • Completed and enclose the Embassy File Form, which can be downloaded here.
