Sworn Declaration

Sworn Declaration

A sworn declaration is a set of facts set out on paper and sworn in front of a person authorized to administer oaths. In Ontario, a Notary Public is authorized to administer oaths binding you to the sworn declaration.

Sworn declarations are not complicated documents and our notaries are not concerned with the contents of the document. Our role is to confirm the name on your identification is the same as the name on the sworn declaration. When the Notary Public has confirmed the identity of the signer, they will administer the oath and you can be on your way.

Remember to bring any schedules, appendices, or documents referenced within the sworn declaration as a small stamp will be placed on the additional pages.

Your document can be sworn before one of our qualified notaries. Notaries in Ontario are empowered to administer sworn declarations and we would be glad to assist you with your document. Please feel free to contact us at 416-451-5553 or by email at info@notary-toronto.ca if you have any questions. Alternatively, please feel free to fill in the form below and one of our notaries will get back to you as soon as possible!
