Before you can legalize documents at the Embassy, the documents must first be authenticated by Global Affairs Canada. Please read about the process of authentication by clicking here. 

The Embassy of Benin charges $10 CAD per document. This fee must be paid by certified cheque or money order made out to the Embassy of Benin. 

You can either legalize documents in person at the Embassy, or you can legalize documents by mail. If you are submitting your documents by mail, be sure to include a cover letter stating exactly what you wish the Embassy of Benin to do. Also, include a pre-stamped return envelope so the Embassy can return your documents.
